FAQ

Questions about Tajamu

Everything you need to know about running live polls, Q&A and quizzes with Tajamu — the Arabic-first audience engagement platform.

What is Tajamu?

Tajamu is an Arabic-first live audience engagement platform. It lets presenters run live polls, Q&A, quizzes, word clouds and rating activities, with the audience joining instantly from any browser. It's an Arabic (right-to-left) alternative to Slido, Mentimeter and Kahoot, built for Saudi Arabia and the GCC.

How do participants join a session?

Participants join with a short code or a link from any phone or laptop browser — no app to install and no account to create. The presenter shows the code on screen, the audience enters it at the join page, and they're in within seconds.

Do participants need to download an app or sign up?

No. Joining is anonymous and instant — just a code or link in the browser. Only the presenter (the person running the session) needs an account.

Does Tajamu fully support Arabic?

Yes — Arabic is the default, not a translation. The entire interface is genuinely right-to-left, with native Arabic typography and numerals. English is also available, and presenters can switch languages freely.

What kinds of activities can I create?

Live polls (multiple choice, multiple select, rating scales), audience Q&A with upvoting, interactive quizzes with live leaderboards, word clouds, and open-text responses — all shown live on a presenter screen and woven into an interactive slide deck.

Can I import my PowerPoint or Excel files?

Yes. Tajamu imports PowerPoint decks into native, editable interactive slides (not flat images), and turns Excel sheets into styled table slides — so you can add live polls and Q&A on top of decks you already have.

Where is my data stored?

Tajamu is built for the GCC with PDPL-aware data handling, with an in-Kingdom (Saudi region) residency path on the roadmap for organizations that require all data to stay in the Kingdom.

How is Tajamu different from Slido, Mentimeter and Kahoot?

Tajamu is Arabic-first and region-first: a genuinely right-to-left interface with native Arabic typography, GCC-focused data handling, and pricing for the local market — instead of a translated layer bolted onto a global product. It covers the same core formats (polls, Q&A, quizzes, word clouds) in one tool.

How much does Tajamu cost?

Tajamu is free to start. You can create an account and run your first interactive session at no cost.
